Cult DAO (CULT)

Cult DAO (CULT) is a decentralized autonomous organization built on the Ethereum blockchain that operates as a form of decentralized venture capital, funding projects and causes that its community judges to advance decentralization. The DAO runs on a two-token system: CULT is the liquid, tradable token that also carries governance rights, while a 0.4% tax on CULT transactions feeds the DAO treasury over time to finance investments in decentralized technology.

Holders can stake CULT to receive dCULT, a non-transferable proof-of-stake token that can be redeemed back into the original CULT plus any rewards accrued while staked. Governance follows a tiered structure in which the top dCULT holders, known as the Guardians, may submit proposals but cannot vote on them, while the remaining stakers, called the Many, vote on whether proposals meet the DAO’s stated criteria of opposing centralization and benefiting a decentralization-aligned cause. When the DAO funds an approved project, part of the resulting CULT proceeds is burned and part returns to the treasury and stakers, tying the token’s supply and rewards directly to the DAO’s investment activity.
