The concept centred on a cast of amphibian-themed characters known as Toads, combining internet meme culture with play-to-earn gaming and non-fungible token collectibles. The team positioned DigiToads as a community-driven project aimed at holders who wanted both a speculative token and an interactive gaming experience, and the branding leaned heavily on the distinctive toad imagery that gave the project its name.

During its active period, the platform described mechanics around a digital Toads ecosystem in which holders could acquire and nurture NFT characters, participate in community contests, and stake TOADS tokens for passive yield. A total supply of roughly 585 million tokens was advertised, with portions allocated to staking rewards, liquidity, and NFT-related utility. The project maintained a presence across Twitter, Telegram, Discord, and YouTube, and reached several thousand community members on Telegram and Discord at its peak during the 2023 to 2024 period when presale and launch activity drove visibility.

DigiToads became inactive in 2025. The original project website at digitoads.world went offline and the domain was subsequently taken over by an unrelated operator, with the address now resolving to content that has no connection to the token. The ERC-20 contract remains deployed on Ethereum at 0x817497e83684e07f5963bdba33df8a9a81386b37, and a small set of holders still retains tokens, but there is no ongoing development, team communication, or active trading of note. Prospective users should treat DigiToads as a historical project rather than a live token, and verify any related links or accounts carefully before interacting with them.
