MemeCore (M)

MemeCore (M) is a standalone Layer 1 blockchain built specifically around meme culture, aiming to turn meme coins from short-lived speculative plays into a more structured, participation-driven digital economy that its creators call “Meme 2.0.” The network launched its mainnet in February 2025 and is EVM-compatible, letting Ethereum-familiar developers deploy smart contracts while tapping into MemeCore’s meme-centric tooling and infrastructure.

The chain’s core innovation is its Proof of Meme (PoM) consensus, a hybrid of Proof-of-Authority and delegated Proof-of-Stake in which a rotating set of validators is elected roughly every 70 seconds based on staking rank. Validators must self-stake 7 million M tokens, while smaller holders can delegate M or approved meme tokens from other chains to earn a share of block rewards. New tokens launched through MemeCore’s MRC-20 standard and its flagship MemeX launchpad each generate a “Meme Vault” that locks 5% of the token’s supply on a long-term vesting schedule to fund ongoing community engagement.

M is the network’s native asset, used to pay gas fees, secure the chain through staking and delegation, and reward participants for social and creative contributions under the PoM model. It has a hard-capped maximum supply of 10 billion tokens, with a portion of usage-related spending burned to offset new issuance from block rewards.
