Sugarchain (SUGAR)

Sugarchain (SUGAR) is a CPU-friendly proof-of-work cryptocurrency designed to be mined using standard computer processors rather than specialized ASIC hardware. The project uses the YespowerSugar hashing algorithm, a variant of the Yespower family specifically tuned for the Sugarchain network. By resisting ASIC mining, Sugarchain aims to maintain a more decentralized distribution of mining power among ordinary users.

Sugarchain features a one-minute block time for faster transaction confirmations compared to Bitcoin’s ten-minute target. The maximum supply is capped at 1,073,741,824 SUGAR, equivalent to 2^30, with over 963 million coins already in circulation. The network uses a single SegWit address format and has been optimized for lightweight operation, making it practical to run a full node on low-resource hardware.
