Vaulta (A)

Vaulta (A) is the native token of the Vaulta network, the rebranded continuation of the EOS blockchain. In March 2025 the EOS Network repositioned itself as Vaulta, shifting from a general-purpose smart contract platform toward infrastructure built specifically for Web3 banking, and in May 2025 the network completed a 1:1 token swap replacing the EOS ticker with A. The underlying mainnet, its transaction history, account balances, and deployed smart contracts carried over unchanged, since Vaulta is a brand and product evolution rather than a new chain or a fork.

The network runs on a Delegated Proof-of-Stake consensus model paired with the Savanna consensus algorithm for fast, deterministic block finality, and it has maintained a long uninterrupted uptime record inherited from its EOS-era infrastructure. Vaulta’s stated focus areas are wealth management and yield infrastructure, consumer payments, tokenized portfolio investment, and crypto-native insurance, aiming to connect traditional finance with decentralized financial tools rather than replace banks outright. A notable integration is exSat, which indexes Bitcoin’s UTXO set directly into Vaulta’s on-chain architecture so smart contracts can reference BTC balances without wrapping or bridging.

The A token functions as the network’s core utility asset: it is used to pay transaction fees and access network resources, it can be staked (subject to a lockup period) to help secure the network and earn rewards, and it grants holders governance rights to vote for block producers and weigh in on protocol upgrades and treasury decisions. Total supply and allocation carried over directly from the legacy EOS token, with only the name and ticker having changed.
