Verus Coin (VRSC)

“Verus is a community project launched on May 21, 2018, without an initial coin offering (ICO) or pre-mined coins. The project has roots in Bitcoin, zCash, and Komodo and aims to build upon the foundations of blockchain, privacy, and smart transactions. Verus utilizes a consensus algorithm called Proof of Power, a combination of proof of stake and proof of work. The Verus Hash function, optimized for CPU mining, allows for a fair and level playing field for all users and is verifiably 51% hash attack resistant.

One of the key features of Verus is VerusID. This decentralized identity system allows users to create friendly names for their addresses and includes additional features such as digital signatures and private messaging. If a user loses access to their private keys or becomes compromised, another ID can be used to revoke and recover the associated name and funds securely. Verus also offers a Public Blockchain as a Service (PBaaS), which allows users to launch their interoperable blockchains without programming. PBaaS chains can be merge-mined with the Verus network to provide additional security, and users have the option to conduct crowdfunding launches and set various fundraising conditions.

The Verus platform also includes DeFi (decentralized finance) services, allowing users to access liquidity and funding options, as well as lending and borrowing options. It utilizes a parallel processing model to solve all DeFi transactions in a block simultaneously and with the same pricing, providing a fairer and more stable system than others. In addition to these features, Verus offers privacy-focused options such as encrypted, zero-knowledge private transactions and a Verus Vault that allows users to time-lock their assets and still stake with them or revoke and recover them if needed.

Verus also has interoperability capabilities, allowing users to exchange value and data across different systems. It has a decentralized bridge to Ethereum, allowing for the exchange of ETH and ERC-20 tokens, and the Verus Interchain Protocol allows users to connect any system. Verus also offers tools for defining and publishing verifiable data structures using the Verus Data Exchange Format (VDXF). Finally, the platform provides cheap, fast, and scalable payment options.”
