Market depth is a measure of the liquidity available in an order book at various price levels. It shows the volume of buy and sell orders stacked at different prices, indicating how much buying or selling pressure exists. A market with deep depth can absorb large orders without significant price impact, while shallow depth means even moderate trades can cause large price swings.
