What is Atomic?

Atomic Wallet is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet. Private keys and seed phrases are encrypted and stored only on the user’s device; Atomic holds no access to user funds. No account registration or KYC is required. The wallet was founded by Konstantin Gladych, co-founder of Changelly, and has grown to over 10 million users worldwide.

Supported platforms:

  • Windows
  • macOS
  • Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora)
  • Android
  • iOS
  • Chrome browser extension

The wallet supports more than 1,000 coins and tokens. Supported blockchains include:

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Solana
  • XRP
  • Cardano
  • Tron
  • Litecoin
  • Dogecoin

ERC-20, TRC-20, and BEP-20 tokens are also supported. Users can buy crypto with a bank card, perform instant swaps across 60+ pairs with cashback rewards, and stake assets such as ETH, ADA, BNB, and SOL directly within the interface. In 2025, the platform added perpetual futures trading and expanded to Layer 2 networks including Optimism, Base, and Linea, bringing total asset coverage past 1,500 tokens.

In June 2023, Atomic Wallet suffered a major security breach in which an estimated $35 million to $100 million in cryptocurrency was stolen from approximately 5,500 user wallets. The attack was attributed to the Lazarus Group, a North Korean state-linked hacking collective. Atomic Wallet stated that less than 0.1% of its user base was affected and indicated it was working on compensation for impacted users, though no commitment to reimburse all losses was made publicly. A class action lawsuit filed in the United States was dismissed in September 2024 for lack of personal jurisdiction. The wallet has continued operating, with regular app updates released throughout 2024 and 2025.
