What is Talisman?
Talisman is a self-custody browser extension wallet built for multi-chain web3. Originally focused on Polkadot and Substrate networks, it has expanded into a multichain wallet supporting 900+ networks across EVM, Polkadot/Substrate, and Solana ecosystems. Extensions are available for Chrome, Brave, Arc, Firefox, and Edge.
Supported networks include Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polkadot, Kusama, Asset Hub, Bittensor, Avail, and hundreds of additional EVM-compatible and Substrate-based chains. Users can track their full portfolio across all connected networks in a single dashboard, with balances displayed in major fiat currencies and leading cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, and DOT.
Key features include:
- In-wallet staking for assets including DOT, Azero, Manta, Vara, and Cere, with one-click entry
- Cross-chain swaps with quote comparison, no bridging or wrapping required
- NFT viewing across supported networks, directly inside the wallet
- Ledger hardware wallet integration for signing on EVM, Bittensor, and Substrate chains
- Portfolio dashboard tracking DeFi positions and token balances across chains
- Multi-seed account management with custom folder organization and an address book
- On/off-ramp via credit card or bank transfer
Talisman is open-source and has been audited by independent third-party security firms. The wallet does not track IP addresses or wallet addresses. It is developed by a globally distributed team based in Australia, with a mission centered on self-custody, decentralization, and user ownership of assets and identity across chains.
