Cubits (QBT)

Cubits (QBT) is a cryptocurrency that was created as part of the United SciFi Coin (SCIFI) project, which is based on the Novacoin and scrypt algorithm. Launched on August 15, 2017, Cubits was designed to consolidate the assets from old SciFi coins such as KED, UFC, GPL, DPZ, and QBT. A total of 20% of the premined coins were distributed among the holders of these coins.

With a blockchain that combines Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of Stake (PoS) at a 50:50 ratio, Cubits offers enhanced security against potential 51% attacks. The cryptocurrency also features a stealth address function, which enables users to conduct anonymous transactions. With a maximum coin supply of 175 million, Cubits balances PoW and PoS rewards, with PoW yielding 10 coins and PoS offering 100 coins per year.

Cubits has a fast block spacing of 1.5 minutes and stake spacing of 3 minutes, ensuring efficient transactions on its network. The cryptocurrency also utilizes PPC (Pay Per Click) type re-targeting, keeping tight control over block timing and allowing a maximum time drift of 3 minutes.
