Onyxcoin (XCN)

Onyxcoin (XCN) is the native token of Onyx Protocol, a blockchain infrastructure project formerly known as Chain Inc. The platform develops cryptographically secure, scalable ledger technology aimed at multi-asset financial applications. XCN exists as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, with mirrored issuances as a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain and on Base. The token is used for staking on the Onyx XCN Ledger Blockchain and the Onyx Goliath Blockchain, as well as for participation in governance decisions about protocol upgrades and parameter changes.

The project pivoted from its earlier focus on enterprise blockchain tooling (Sequence, Chain Cloud, and Chain NFTs) toward an open, public ledger architecture under the Onyx brand. Onyx Goliath positions itself as a high-throughput environment for decentralized applications, while the XCN Ledger handles the token settlement layer. Holders can stake XCN to earn yield generated from network activity, and the project has integrated with Arbitrum and other ecosystems to extend reach across Layer 2 networks.

XCN has a maximum supply of approximately 68.89 billion tokens, with a circulating supply of around 38.2 billion. The token is widely traded on major exchanges and remains active under the Onyx Protocol brand. The original chain.com domain is still online and operated by the same team, with onyx.org now serving as the primary project website. Whitepapers and technical documentation are published on onyx.org, and development activity continues on the Onyx-Protocol GitHub organization.
