XUSD Prime (XUSDP)

XUSD Prime (ticker: XUSDP) was an ERC-20 token issued on the Ethereum blockchain with a maximum and total supply of 4.5 billion tokens, of which approximately 1.75 billion were reported as circulating. The project positioned itself as an asset-backed stablecoin and claimed to meet Tier 1 Basel capital framework standards, a regulatory benchmark that applies to traditional banks rather than crypto tokens. Those claims were never independently verified by a recognised financial regulator, and no public audit confirming Basel compliance was published.

According to its promotional materials, XUSD Prime aimed to bridge regulated financial infrastructure with decentralised technology by pegging its token to real-world assets and offering low transaction fees with fast settlement on Ethereum. The token reached an all-time high price of $4,241.68 in May 2023 before declining sharply. By late 2024 trading activity had ceased entirely, and no active exchange listings remained. The official website at xusdblockchain.com went offline around September 2024 and has not been restored.

As of 2025, XUSD Prime shows no recorded trading volume and its market capitalisation is listed as zero. The project social media presence on X has been inactive. The Ethereum contract (0xa1f7c9c6d19e2d0bf20729cb0bf03338a90bed9b) remains on-chain, but the token is considered dormant. Investors and researchers should treat any historical claims about asset backing or regulatory compliance as unverified given the absence of supporting documentation and the project inactive status.
