Phantom

Phantom is a self-custodial crypto wallet developed by Phantom Technologies, Inc. Originally launched as a Solana-native wallet, it has expanded into a multichain platform supporting Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base, and Sui. Available as a browser extension for Chrome, Brave, and Edge, and as a mobile app for iOS and Android, Phantom serves over 20 million users worldwide.

The wallet lets users store, send, receive, and swap tokens across its supported networks within a single interface. Token swapping is available at low fees directly in the app, and users can participate in staking on Solana to earn rewards. Phantom also supports NFT management, including the ability to view, pin, hide, burn, and list NFTs for sale on integrated marketplaces. In 2025, Phantom added perpetual futures trading (Phantom Perps) and a prepaid Visa debit card issued by Lead Bank, expanding its offering beyond a conventional wallet.

Phantom uses a self-custodial model: users control their private keys and Phantom never has access to funds. No name or email address is required to create a wallet. Security features include built-in scam detection, transaction simulation before signing, and compatibility with Ledger hardware wallets for cold storage. The wallet also supports Apple Pay and Google Pay for purchasing crypto directly.

Phantom Technologies, Inc. raised a $150 million Series C in January 2025, and has since acquired NFT data provider SimpleHash and Solana NFT sniping platform Solsniper, deepening its on-chain data and trading capabilities.
