ZenGo Wallet

ZenGo is a mobile cryptocurrency wallet developed by Israeli company KZen Networks, founded in 2018. It takes a keyless approach to self-custody: instead of a traditional seed phrase, ZenGo uses threshold Multi-Party Computation (MPC) to split a user’s cryptographic key between the user’s device and ZenGo’s servers. Neither party alone can sign a transaction or access funds, and account recovery is tied to biometric verification and a secure backup rather than a written phrase the user could lose or expose.

Available on iOS and Android, ZenGo supports over 1,000 digital assets across major networks including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Solana, and several other EVM-compatible chains, along with a wide range of ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens. The app includes built-in buy, sell, and swap functionality through integrated third-party providers, as well as a dApp browser for connecting to Web3 services and decentralized finance protocols.

A notable security feature is the Web3 Firewall, which simulates transactions before signing to flag potentially malicious contracts or drainer patterns. The wallet also offers Legacy Transfer, a beneficiary designation tool that allows users to arrange access for a named contact in the event of death or incapacity. In 2024, ZenGo introduced a Pro subscription tier with higher transaction limits and priority support, while the free tier retains core wallet access. Live customer support is available around the clock through the app.

ZenGo’s keyless model removes seed-phrase loss and theft as attack vectors, though it does introduce a dependency on ZenGo’s server-side infrastructure. The company publishes its MPC protocol documentation publicly and reports over 1.5 million registered users as of 2025.
