Searxly (SEARXLY) is a native macOS browser designed to prioritize privacy and autonomy. Unlike traditional browsers that rely on external servers, Searxly hosts its own search engine locally on the user’s machine. This structure eliminates the need for accounts, tracking, or telemetry, ensuring that the only entity privy to search queries is the device itself. The browser leverages a one-click deployment mechanism to set up a local SearXNG instance via Docker, enabling seamless and private search experiences directly from the user’s computer.
