Avalanche

Ava Labs, Inc. is a United States-based blockchain technology company focused on building and maintaining the Avalanche network, a high-performance, open-source smart contract platform designed for decentralized applications and enterprise blockchain deployments. The company was co-founded by Emin Gün Sirer, Kevin Sekniqi, and Ted Yin, all with backgrounds in distributed systems research.

Avalanche, launched in September 2020, consists of three interoperable blockchains handling asset transfers, smart contract execution, and validator coordination. Ava Labs also develops AvaCloud, a managed service for launching custom blockchains, and Core, an Avalanche-native digital asset wallet. The company is headquartered in the United States and targets developers, enterprises, and financial institutions building on-chain applications.

Ava Labs organizes the Avalanche Summit, a recurring industry conference that brings together builders, financial institutions, and investors to discuss blockchain adoption in areas such as tokenized assets and regulated capital markets.
