Saylor Academy

Saylor Academy is a nonprofit educational organization based in the United States that provides free, self-paced online courses at the college and professional levels. Founded in 2008, its mission is to make higher education accessible to anyone with an internet connection, regardless of location or financial means.

The academy offers more than 150 full-length courses across subjects including computer science, business administration, and professional development. It has served over two million learners worldwide and maintains partnerships with universities such as Purdue University Global and UMass Global, which accept certain Saylor courses for transfer credit. Learners who pass the optional final exam receive a free certificate of completion.

Among its cryptocurrency-focused offerings is PRDV151: Bitcoin for Everybody, a free 12-hour introductory course covering Bitcoin economics, investment, history, technology, and practical usage including wallets and security. The academy also offers CS120: Bitcoin for Developers I, which covers cryptography, transactions, and consensus mechanisms for a more technical audience.
