SubQuery is a Web3 data infrastructure company that provides open-source blockchain data indexing, decentralized RPC services, and AI-powered querying tools for developers building decentralised applications. Its core indexing framework lets teams collect, transform, and query on-chain data across nearly 300 supported blockchain networks through a unified GraphQL API.

Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, SubQuery was created by Sam Zou alongside co-founders Ian He and James Bayly. The company launched its decentralized mainnet in February 2024, powered by the SQT utility token, and operates a network of indexers, consumers, and delegators to deliver scalable, permissionless data access.

In addition to indexing and RPC infrastructure, SubQuery offers AskSubQuery, an AI tool that converts natural language questions into real-time blockchain data queries without requiring GraphQL knowledge.
